About Caroline
Hello
Hi, I’m Caroline—a qualified ADHD life coach and health coach.
With a background in the corporate world and both personal and professional experience in neurodiversity and executive functioning challenges, I bring a wealth of experience to my work. My own health journey, which includes overcoming cancer, further deepens my understanding of change and anti-fragility.
I believe that diversity enriches the world, and that everyone deserves to live confidently as their true self. My aim is to paddle alongside you as you chart and navigate a course towards your goals that is aligned with your strengths and values.
I come from a long line of Northumbrians, or Geordies, as we’re often called. Northumberland, the wild borderlands between England and Scotland, shaped my roots. Growing up, I enjoyed acting, sports, travel, and adventure, and also developed a strong work ethic and deep desire not to let anyone down.
I went to the University of Cambridge, then moved to London, where I trained as a lawyer at a large international law firm. Later, I worked for many years in senior positions at major retail banks in both England and New Zealand whilst balancing my invaluable roles as a mother to two remarkable daughters and a partner to my Kiwi husband. Throughout my career, I focussed on behaviour and culture, building strong (and fun!) team cultures and ensuring customers’ best interests were at the forefront of everything we did. Even in my corporate life, it was always about people.
A few years ago, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. This stopped me in my tracks. While hearing the word "cancer" is one of the hardest things to experience, I now see it as a gift. It forced me to re-evaluate my life and prompted a shift in direction. I found my own coach, embarked on a Graduate Diploma in Psychotherapy, then trained with JST Coaching, specialising in ADHD and executive functioning, and PREKURE, training as a health and mental fitness coach. Along the way, I rekindled my love of acting and sport.
As I navigate this mid-life awakening, I realise how much I’ve been shackled by living according to external expectations—ironically, expectations I set for myself. It’s liberating to realise that I can rewrite the story I tell myself, and steer my ship using goals and values that are truer to who I am. I have the tools to find my own way, and my way is valid.
With deep personal experience of neurodiversity and executive functioning challenges, I am passionate about advocating for those who are wired differently. I support individuals and their whānau (families) in navigating a world that can often feel like an obstacle course designed to outsmart. I also understand the crippling effects of anxiety and burnout, both at home and in the corporate world.
I draw on my own experiences, understanding, and training to create a non-judgemental, compassionate space where people can uncover and build their wayfinding skills—helping them navigate life's waters with confidence and clarity.
